Laura Knittig (she/they) is a victim-survivor of sexual assault who works as an advocate and support person for those who are affected by sexual assault and violence with UC Survivors and Allies. Laura is UCLA Alumni with a degree in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics with a minor in Anthropology. In October 2019, Laura founded the nonprofit SAVE Research dedicated to educating others about sexual assault and consent. Laura is currently the Chief Executive Director of SAVE Research and is working towards their Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Sam Houston State University.
