Kalani (she/her/hers) is an MPH candidate at UC Irvine with an emphasis in Sociocultural Diversity & Health. She is a member of the Health & Justice Advocates of UCI, on a task force to dismantle systemic racism at UCI, is a current student ambassador UCGHI, and is the Vice Chair for the UCI Student Center Board of Advisors. This past Summer, she was a DTEI Grad Fellow, helping faculty prepare for remote learning and assisting with course design, and volunteered for the ActOC study as well as the UCI Public Health Chatline. Last Fall, she was a representative for a UC-wide initiative to prevent sexual abuse and violence on college campuses and in sports. Kalani is a strong advocate for mental health and sexual abuse prevention.
