Atreyi Mitra is a second year Human Biology and Society and Public Affairs double major at UCLA. On campus, she is deeply involved in sexual violence spaces, with particular interests in normalizing discussions about sex and consent, supporting existing resources, and survivor campus wide advocacy. She deeply cares gender equity, yet has come to believe that it can only be achieved through sexual choice and control. This passion explains her current desire to pursue a Juris Doctor degree and Master of Public Health after graduation to focus the rest of her life on reproductive and public health law. When she is not having identity crises about her feminist philosophy, she enjoys devouring memoirs, TED talks, politics, and journalism.
